I tried to reset the idle speed via the cruise buttons but to no avail. Then, during a visit to FOT last year, I asked one of the techs if they knew of a solution for my coach.
A little research later and yes, they also tried to use the cruise buttons. Someone recalled that the ’99’s didn’t use the cruise buttons. Instead, idle speed was set by one of the two rocker switches behind the driver’s side dash cover. (the one that hinges up toward the windshield)
The one you are looking for is the one that returns to the center. Momentary up push increases RPM by 50, and a momentary push down lowers the RPM by 50.
The second switch is on/off and controls access to dash fault codes. I was unable to get any documentation for either of these buttons. But that’s how they work on my rig. My M11 idled at 850 when I got it, and I struggled at the stoplights for years. Now it’s set at 700, and all is good.
